  • SECP-licensed
  • All-Islamic fund range

Faysal Funds (FAML), 99.99% owned by Faysal Bank, manages Rs240bn in AUM as of Q1 2026 — a separate number from FABL's own PSX share price.

  • FABL share price: dps.psx.com.pk/company/FABL

  • VIS Management Quality rating: AM1, the top of the scale
  • Pension fund contributions qualify for a tax rebate under Section 63

Faysal Bank's mutual funds run through Faysal Asset Management Limited, branded Faysal Funds — a subsidiary in which Faysal Bank Limited holds 99.99% of the shares. Faysal Funds was incorporated in 2003 and is licensed by the SECP for asset management and investment advisory services, separate from the bank's core deposit-taking license.

As Faysal Bank itself is fully Islamic, Faysal Funds' offering is almost entirely Shariah-compliant — savings-oriented income funds, equity-linked plans, and dedicated pension products for long-term retirement planning.

Faysal Funds (FAML) Performance

Per Faysal Bank's audited Annual Report 2025, FAML's Assets Under Management (AUM) reached Rs273 billion as of December 31, 2025, up 11% from Rs246 billion a year earlier. FAML posted Profit After Tax of Rs900 million for the year, up 6.4% over CY2024, and VIS Credit Rating Company has assigned it a Management Quality rating of AM1 — the top of the scale, unchanged from CY2024.

More recently, Faysal Bank's Q1 2026 results (quarter ended March 31, 2026) put FAML's AUM at Rs240 billion as of March 31, 2026 — below the Rs273 billion year-end figure — with quarterly Profit After Tax of Rs197 million, down 30% on the same quarter last year. VIS reaffirmed the AM1 rating as at March 31, 2026: the rating itself hasn't moved, even though AUM and quarterly profit have.

Tax Treatment on Faysal Funds Investments

Under Section 63 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, investors in Faysal Funds' pension products can claim a tax rebate at the average tax rate on contributions up to PKR 2,000,000 or 20% of taxable income, whichever is lower. A minimum two-year holding period applies, and premature withdrawal from a pension fund carries separate tax implications — talk to a tax advisor for specifics.

Is Faysal Bank's Share Price the Same as Faysal Funds' NAV?

Keep these two separate: Faysal Bank Limited's own share price (PSX: FABL) reflects the banking group's equity value, checked directly at dps.psx.com.pk/company/FABL. Faysal Funds' mutual fund units are priced daily as Net Asset Value (NAV) per unit instead, published on faysalfunds.com — a different number entirely from FABL's stock price, even though Faysal Bank owns almost all of Faysal Funds.
