- Faysal Pay: Android + NFC only, no iPhone support
- Scan & Pay works through the free Raast QR rail
- POS/Gateway/QR all require a Faysal Bank business account
- Payment Gateway integrates in 2\u20133 days via ready-made plugins
Faysal Bank's digital payment tools split into two groups: ways you pay with your own phone, and ways a business accepts payments from customers. Both run through the same DigiBank ecosystem, but they solve completely different problems.
For Customers: Faysal Pay (Tap-to-Pay)
Faysal Pay turns an NFC-enabled Android phone into your Faysal card — tap it against any contactless-enabled POS terminal (look for the contactless symbol) and it pays exactly like the physical card linked to it. It's currently Android/NFC-only; there's no iPhone version.
Setting it up
Open Faysal DigiBank on an NFC-enabled Android phone, go to the menu, select "Faysal Pay," and enable it against your card.
Checking a transaction went through
Faysal Pay doesn't show an in-app confirmation instantly — check the POS terminal's own screen for the approval, the same as a physical tap.
Viewing history & managing cards
Go to "Manage Faysal Pay" under Card Management in DigiBank to see your last 10 Faysal Pay transactions, or to disable/remove a card from the feature entirely.
For Customers: Scan & Pay (Raast QR)
Faysal DigiBank also supports Scan and Pay for Raast QR transactions directly from the app — point your camera at a merchant's Raast QR code to pay instantly, without needing NFC or a physical tap. This runs on the same free Raast rail covered on our Raast page, just via QR instead of a linked mobile number.
For Businesses: Accepting Payments
Faysal Bank's merchant-facing payment tools require a business account (commonly opened via the Bakamaal Karobar Account, which can bundle these tools in at account opening):
Faysal Bank POS Terminals
Physical in-store terminals accepting Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, and PayPak, plus NFC contactless. Free GSM connectivity is included; a Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) fee applies per transaction, varying by business size and risk profile — confirm your specific rate directly with Faysal Bank, since it isn't a flat published figure. Only available to business account holders.
Faysal Payment Gateway (IPG)
For online businesses accepting card payments on their own website. Requires a valid NTN and an FBL business account; integrates via pre-built plugins (React, PHP, .NET, Magento, WooCommerce) typically within 2–3 days. Accepts international cards, supports recurring billing, and gives merchants 300+ customisable reporting fields.
Merchant QR Payments
Lets a business collect payment from customers or vendors via QR code in seconds. Bundled automatically with the Bakamaal Karobar Account — the QR is generated on account opening with no extra documentation needed.
Merchants aren't locked into taking a payment solution at all — a Bakamaal Karobar Account can be opened with none of these tools attached, and added later, or a merchant can pick whichever combination (POS, Gateway, QR) actually fits their business.
