- Real ISO 7064 Algorithm
- Runs in Your Browser
The Bank of Khyber swift code is what any bank abroad needs to route a wire transfer into a BOK account. This page confirms the BOK swift code directly, and includes a free tool to generate the matching IBAN using the real ISO 7064 MOD-97 check-digit calculation — the same algorithm banks use to validate IBANs internationally.
This tool runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Enter your BOK account number to generate your IBAN for receiving international transfers or remittances.
Pakistani IBAN structure (PK + 2 check digits + 4-letter bank code + up to 16-digit account number, 24 characters total) follows the ISO 13616 standard used by all Pakistani banks. BOK's bank code is KHYB. Always confirm your generated IBAN against your bank statement or branch before using it for a transfer.

BOK publishes its SWIFT code as the 8-character form KHYBPKKA on its own beneficiary-account and correspondent-bank pages, without an appended branch suffix. The 11-character ISO-standard equivalent KHYBPKKAXXX (using "XXX" for the primary office) will also route correctly at most institutions. If your remitter specifically asks for an 11-character code or a branch-specific one, confirm it with your BOK branch — don't guess which variant applies.
SWIFT/BIC and bank code confirmed directly from Bank of Khyber's own published beneficiary-account and correspondent-bank details (bok.com.pk). Last verified: August 2026.
Why the IBAN Format Matters
Older-style account numbers work fine for domestic transfers within Pakistan, but international wire systems expect the standardized IBAN format specifically. Sending your plain account number to someone abroad instead of your IBAN is one of the most common reasons an international transfer gets rejected or delayed at the receiving end.
A few mistakes worth avoiding: don't guess at your bank code from memory — BOK's is fixed at KHYB, but typing it wrong invalidates the whole check-digit calculation; don't drop or add spaces inconsistently; and always confirm the generated IBAN against an official bank statement before sharing it for a real transfer.
When You'll Actually Need Both Codes
A domestic transfer within Pakistan typically only needs your plain account number or IBAN — the SWIFT code isn't required for local transfers at all. It's specifically international wires that ask for the SWIFT/BIC code alongside the IBAN.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the full BOK Swift Code?
BOK's own published BOK Swift Code is KHYBPKKA (8 characters). The 11-character ISO equivalent KHYBPKKAXXX also works for the head office; individual branches may carry their own branch-specific suffix.
Do I need the SWIFT code for a domestic transfer within Pakistan?
No. Domestic transfers within Pakistan only need your account number or IBAN. The SWIFT code is required specifically for international wire transfers.
Keep a copy of your generated IBAN and the BOK Swift Code (KHYBPKKA) together somewhere you can access quickly — remittance forms and international transfer requests often ask for both at once, and having them ready avoids a delay while you look each one up separately.
