Choosing Between BOK's Cards

If most of your spending is domestic — local retail, ATM withdrawals, local e-commerce — a standard PayPak debit card covers it at the lowest cost, since PayPak transactions typically carry lower interchange fees than international networks. If you travel or shop on international sites regularly, the Digital Mastercard or the JCB PayPak co-badged card extends acceptance abroad, at the cost of a card that usually carries a modestly higher annual fee than a PayPak-only card.

Activating and Using Your Card

New BOK debit cards are typically activated either at the issuing branch or through the BOK Digital app on first use, and require setting a PIN before the first ATM withdrawal. Memorize the PIN — don't store it near the card. Never share the PIN, the card's CVV, or any OTP sent for a card transaction with anyone claiming to be from BOK over the phone; see the BOK security & fraud page for how these scams typically operate.

Discounts and Merchant Offers

BOK's Mastercard lineup carries a tiered set of partner benefits. Classic covers a base layer — Booking.com cashback, Midasbuy PUBG bonus points, Lingokids trial. Gold and Platinum add hotel, car rental, and lifestyle partners on top.

Local Dining & Lifestyle Discounts (BOK Mastercard Debit Card)

Separate from the international Mastercard benefits above, BOK runs its own rotating set of local dining and lifestyle discounts for Platinum and Gold Mastercard debit cardholders, each on a specific day of the week and with its own spend cap. All seven below run until December 31, 2026.

Discount applies automatically when you pay with a BOK Mastercard Debit Card at a participating outlet — no separate code or app activation needed. Each brand's discount is capped at a fixed rupee amount per transaction (shown above), not an uncapped percentage. Transaction limits vary by brand: the five dining/shopping partners cap at 4 transactions per month, while Beechtree and IDEAS cap at 2 per month — all limited to a maximum of 1 discounted transaction per day regardless of card tier. Beechtree's discount applies online only; IDEAS applies in-store only, nationwide.

If Your Card Stops Working

A BOK card declined unexpectedly is usually one of three things: expired, temporarily blocked after several incorrect PIN attempts, or a spending/withdrawal limit reached for the day. Check the card's status in the BOK Digital app's card controls section first. If it shows active and the problem persists, contact BOK's 24/7 call center — most declines have a mundane cause. Card Issuance & Annual Fees

BOK's published debit card charges from its Schedule of Bank Charges, Conventional Branches, effective July–December 2026. Issuance, replacement, renewal, and annual fees are the same amount across BOK's cards.

Point-of-sale spending is free domestically on every BOK card. International POS/online spending runs 3% of the transaction on PayPak/JCB-PayPak and 4% on Mastercard, plus an FX conversion charge of 4% on Mastercard international transactions. No exemptions — including for staff or senior citizens — apply to Mastercard debit card fees under BOK's published schedule.
