  • 5 Scheme Categories
  • Conventional & Islamic

Bank of Khyber Agri Finance is a core part of the bank's business, reflecting its provincial development mandate in a largely agrarian province. BOK runs five separate agri finance schemes rather than one generic "farm loan," each aimed at a different need — machinery, working capital, livestock, apiculture, or irrigation. This page is an overview of what's available; detailed terms for each individual scheme should be confirmed directly with BOK, since per-scheme rates and tenure aren't uniformly published online.

Agri Finance Schemes

SchemePurpose
Tractor & Farm Machinery Finance SchemeFinancing to purchase tractors and other farm machinery
Sada Bahar Zarai LoanRevolving finance facility for short-term on-farm and off-farm activities
Livestock Loan Scheme, Agriculture Marketing & Dairy Storage SchemeDevelopment finance for purchasing dairy animals and related marketing/storage needs
Apiculture & Sericulture Loan SchemeDemand finance for purchasing beekeeping/silk-farming machinery, utensils, and chilling equipment
Tube Well Loan SchemeAgriculture development loans for tube well installation

Confirmed from BOK's official Agri Finance page (bok.com.pk). Scheme names and one-line purpose descriptions are sourced directly; specific markup rates, loan limits, and tenure per scheme are not published on BOK's site and should be confirmed with a BOK agriculture finance officer. Last verified: August 2026.

Conventional vs. Islamic Agri Finance

BOK runs agri finance on both the conventional and Raast Islamic sides. The Islamic route currently covers two schemes specifically: Tractor Ijarah Finance (a leasing-based structure) and Zarai Murabaha Finance (a cost-plus-markup sale structure), both Shariah-compliant alternatives to the conventional tractor and general agri loans. If Shariah compliance matters to you, ask specifically for the Islamic-branded version of the scheme you need — the conventional and Islamic products aren't identical in structure even when they finance the same underlying need.

Processing Fees (Conventional)

BOK publishes a single processing-fee scale covering its conventional agricultural finance facilities as a whole, scaled by facility amount, from its Schedule of Bank Charges, Conventional Branches, effective July–December 2026.

Facility AmountProcessing Fee
Up to Rs 500,000Rs 1,000 flat
Above Rs 500,000 – Rs 1,000,000Rs 2,000 flat
Above Rs 1,000,000 – Rs 2,000,000Rs 3,000 flat
Above Rs 2,000,000 – Rs 3,000,000Rs 4,000 flat
Above Rs 3,000,000 – Rs 5,000,000Rs 5,000 flat

Facilities disbursed under an SBP refinance scheme are exempt from this processing fee. FED (Federal Excise Duty) applies on top of the listed fee at the applicable rate.

This is BOK's general agri finance processing fee scale — it isn't broken out per individual scheme (tractor vs. livestock vs. tube well), so confirm which scheme-specific terms apply to your application at the branch. Charges may change with BOK's next schedule update. Last verified: August 2026.

How to Apply

Agri finance applications go through BOK branches with agricultural lending capacity — not every branch handles these schemes, so confirm with your nearest branch or BOK's contact center before visiting. Expect to bring land ownership or tenancy documents, CNIC, and details of the specific equipment, livestock, or activity being financed, in addition to standard loan documentation. Since exact eligibility criteria and required paperwork vary by scheme, ask for the specific scheme's checklist rather than a generic "agri loan" document list.

Frequently Asked Questions

What agricultural loans does Bank of Khyber offer?

BOK offers five main agri finance schemes: Tractor & Farm Machinery Finance, Sada Bahar Zarai Loan (revolving finance), Livestock/Dairy/Marketing loans, Apiculture & Sericulture loans, and Tube Well Loan Scheme.

Does BOK offer Islamic agri financing?

Yes, through Raast Islamic Banking — Tractor Ijarah Finance and Zarai Murabaha Finance are the two Islamic-structured agri schemes currently listed.

Is BOK's agri finance only for farmers?

The schemes cover a range of agricultural activities — tractors and machinery, livestock and dairy, apiculture/sericulture, and irrigation via tube wells — so eligibility depends on the specific activity being financed, not a single farmer-only definition.

What's the Sada Bahar Zarai Loan for?

It's a revolving finance facility for short-term on-farm and off-farm activities, distinct from the asset-purchase-focused schemes like the tractor or tube well loans.

Because BOK's website lists these schemes without publishing per-scheme markup rates or tenure limits, the processing fee table above is the only sourced numeric detail available site-wide — treat any rate quoted informally as unconfirmed until a BOK officer states it in writing for your specific application.
