H1 2026 Results: Profit Before Tax of PKR 24.4 Billion, Interim Dividend Announced
Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited reported a profit before tax of PKR 24.4 billion for H1 2026, down from PKR 32.9 billion in H1 2025, on revenue of PKR 34.8 billion — the decline attributed mainly to lower interest rates, partly offset by reduced funding costs and balance-sheet growth. The bank held its cost-to-income ratio at 33%, posted a net provision release of PKR 1.1 billion (a fifth consecutive year of net reversals), and grew deposits 3% to PKR 671 billion, with current accounts now 57% of the deposit book. Net advances rose 15% on corporate and mortgage growth. Return on Equity stood at 21.3% and Capital Adequacy Ratio at 21.2%. Adil Salahuddin Takes Charge as CEO
Adil Salahuddin assumed charge as CEO and Director of Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited, following Fit and Proper Test clearance from the State Bank of Pakistan. The appointment was first announced on 13 July 2026, subject to regulatory approval. He succeeds Rehan Shaikh and brings over 30 years of banking experience, including 25 years with the Standard Chartered Group across Pakistan, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Standard Chartered Pakistan was awarded a comprehensive USD 130 million banking mandate by Siemens Energy, approved in January 2025, covering working capital strategies, cash management, and employee banking services for Siemens Energy's local workforce. The agreement was signed by then-CEO Rehan Shaikh and Siemens Energy Pakistan's Managing Director, Nadeem Kazmi.

Strategic Partnership With Emirates
