Bank AL Habib offers safe deposit lockers at select branches in three sizes — Small, Medium, and Large — each with its own key deposit and annual rental fee. Availability varies by branch, since not every branch carries locker facilities. Here's exactly what each size costs, sourced directly from the bank's official Schedule of Bank Charges.
Bank AL Habib Locker Charges — By Size
| Locker Size | Key Deposit | Annual Fee | Late Payment Fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | Rs 65,000 | Rs 7,500 | Rs 700 |
| Medium | Rs 80,000 | Rs 9,500 | Rs 900 |
| Large | Rs 110,000 | Rs 13,000 | Rs 1,150 |
From Bank AL Habib's official Schedule of Bank Charges, effective July 1 – December 31, 2026 (Inst. Cir. #093). Late payment fee applies after a 30-day grace period from the due date. Locker Breaking / Key Replacement Charges are billed at actual cost, not a fixed fee.
How the Key Deposit Works
The key deposit isn't a fee — it's a refundable security deposit the bank holds against the locker key, required upfront when you're not maintaining the deposit relationship the bank otherwise waives it for. It's returned when you close the locker and return the key intact. The annual fee is separate and non-refundable, charged in advance at the start of each rental period. Lockers are available only at select branches, not the full network — confirm locker availability at your specific branch before visiting, since not every branch carries this facility.
Islamic Banking Lockers
Bank AL Habib's Islamic Banking Division offers lockers separately on a Ujrah (rental) basis at selected Islamic branches, with sizes covered under Takaful (Islamic insurance) rather than conventional insurance. Ujrah-based pricing may differ from the conventional schedule above — confirm the current Islamic locker rate directly with an Islamic Banking branch.
Limited branch availability
Lockers exist only at select branches, not every branch in the network — call ahead or check with your relationship branch before visiting specifically for a locker.
Advance payment
Annual fees are recovered in advance at the start of each rental period from both existing and new locker customers.
Breaking & key replacement
If a key is lost or the locker needs to be forced open, charges are billed "at actual" — meaning the real cost incurred, not a flat published rate.
