Bank AL Habib gives you Rs 25,000 in free interbank transfers (IBFT/Raast) per account every month — after that, a small percentage-based fee kicks in. Here's exactly how the free allowance, the tiered charge, and the separate daily transfer limits by card and channel actually work, sourced from the bank's own official fee schedule and EFT disclosure.

IBFT & Raast Transfer Charges

Transfer TypeCharge
Within Bank AL Habib (own or any BAHL account)Free
IBFT to other banks — up to Rs 25,000/month/accountFree
IBFT to other banks — above Rs 25,000/month/account0.1% of transaction amount or Rs 200, whichever is lower

Sourced from Bank AL Habib's official Schedule of Bank Charges, effective July 1 – December 31, 2026. The free monthly threshold and the tiered charge above it apply per account, not per transaction — several small transfers count toward the same Rs 25,000 monthly free allowance.

Daily & Per-Transaction Transfer Limits

These limits apply to transfers made through AL Habib Mobile App and Netbanking. Sourced from Bank AL Habib's official Electronic Funds Transfer disclosure page — figures reflect the most recent of two limit increases in 2026 (Raast/IBFT rose from Rs 1,000,000 → 2,000,000 → 2,500,000; Any BAHL Account rose from Rs 4,000,000 → 6,000,000).

Card-based EFT limits are separate from, and generally lower than, the App/Netbanking limits above — sourced from the same official Electronic Funds Transfer disclosure.

Raast vs. IBFT (1-Link) — What's the Difference?

Raast is the State Bank of Pakistan's own instant payment system, identified by a Raast ID (typically your mobile number) linked to your account. IBFT via 1-Link is the older interbank transfer rail, requiring the recipient's full account number or IBAN. Both move money between different banks in real time and both fall under the same Rs 25,000/month free allowance on Bank AL Habib's fee schedule — the difference is in how you identify the recipient, not the cost.
