MCB Bank Card Discounts

Last updated & verified: September 2026

Every MCB Bank credit and debit card, plus how to find genuine active discounts — see the full bank overview.

  • Visa Debit & Credit Cards
  • MCB Compare Card Tool

MCB Bank card discounts are run through partner-merchant tie-ups (EMI Alliances, retail and dining offers) attached to specific MCB Visa debit and credit card tiers, rather than a single blanket discount that applies to every MCB card. This page covers the card lineup itself and where to verify which discounts are actually active right now.

MCB Debit & Credit Card Fees

Per MCB's official Schedule of Charges for July-December 2026:

CardIssuance/Annual Fee
MCB Visa Debit CardRs. 3,300 (issuance, renewal, supplementary, replacement each)
MCB Visa Signature Debit CardRs. 4,500 per fee type, plus Rs. 12,000/quarter (waived if maintaining Rs. 2M current-account or Rs. 5M total-deposit balance)
MCB Fun Club Debit CardRs. 1,000 (issuance/replacement)
MCB Visa Credit Card - Classic (Basic/Supplementary)Rs. 7,000 / Rs. 3,500 p.a.
MCB Visa Credit Card - Gold (Basic/Supplementary)Rs. 14,000 / Rs. 7,000 p.a.
MCB Visa Credit Card - Platinum (Basic/Supplementary)Rs. 22,000 / Rs. 11,000 p.a.

The Visa Signature Debit Card's quarterly fee waiver is worth planning around: maintaining a Rs. 2 million average current-account balance (or Rs. 5 million total deposits) eliminates a Rs. 12,000/quarter charge entirely - a meaningful saving for anyone who already keeps that kind of balance with MCB.

Credit Card Markup & APR

FacilityRate
Retail transaction markup (if not paid by due date)3.67%/month (APR 44%)
Cash advance, without installment3.67%/month (APR 44%) + processing fee Rs. 1,200 or 3%, whichever is higher
Cash advance, with installment (via Call Center)3.25%/month (APR 39%)
I-Switch balance transfer, with installment2.25%/month (APR 27%) - the cheapest facility on the card
Late Payment FeeRs. 2,500 (if minimum payment not received by due date)
Foreign transaction fee4% of transaction amount or Rs. 100, whichever is higher

The MCB Visa Debit Card carries a separate, slightly higher foreign transaction fee of 4.40% (or Rs. 100, whichever is higher) — see the calculator below for what that actually costs on a real trip.

That gap matters more than most people realize: MCB's I-Switch balance-transfer plan runs at 27% APR, while an unpaid retail balance or a plain cash advance costs you 44%. If you're sitting on a balance somewhere else and only paying the minimum every month, moving it to MCB through I-Switch is worth doing — you're not saving a little, you're roughly halving what you're bleeding in markup.

All card fees and APR figures confirmed directly from MCB's official Schedule of Charges, July-December 2026 edition, Consumer Banking section B (Debit Cards) and F (MCB Visa Credit Card). Foreign transaction fees differ by card: 4% for MCB Visa Credit Card (section F, item 18), 4.40% for MCB Visa Debit Card (section C, item 7) — an earlier version of this page conflated the two.

True Cost of Using Your MCB Card Abroad

Nobody publishes this stacked together — MCB's own site lists each fee separately, and third-party sites don't compute it at all. Enter your trip spend and see the real total, using MCB's own SOBC-verified rates.

MCB's fee applies per transaction (percentage, or Rs. 100 minimum, whichever is higher) — splitting spend across more transactions means more Rs. 100 minimums kick in.

Calculator Sources & Method

All rates taken directly from MCB's official Schedule of Charges, July-December 2026 edition. Debit card: 4.40% or Rs. 100 (whichever higher) per foreign POS/e-commerce transaction (section C, item 7); 4.5% or Rs. 100 (whichever higher) per international ATM withdrawal, plus Rs. 250 per international balance inquiry (section C, item 6); Rs. 110 per declined international transaction due to insufficient funds or a disabled international channel (section C, item 8). Credit card: 4% or Rs. 100 (whichever higher) per foreign transaction (section F, item 18).

Per-transaction fees are estimated by splitting your total spend evenly across the number of transactions you enter, then applying the percentage-or-minimum rule to each one — real fees depend on your actual per-transaction amounts, which may vary.

This does not include currency conversion/exchange rate spread, which is separate from these bank-charged fees and varies by network (Visa/UnionPay) and by the day. Last verified: September 2026.

MCB Debit Cards

MCB Visa Debit Card

MCB's standard Visa-branded debit card, issued with most current and savings accounts.

MCB Visa Signature Debit Card

A premium debit card tier, typically carrying higher transaction limits and additional lifestyle benefits than the standard Visa Debit card.

Don't assume your card's fee matches what a friend or colleague pays — issuance, annual, and replacement charges shift depending on the account you're holding, and MCB publishes the exact figures in its Schedule of Charges. Worth a two-minute check before you complain to the branch about a "wrong" deduction.

MCB Credit Cards

MCB Visa Platinum Credit Card

MCB's flagship credit card, marketed under the "Live Lavishly" positioning with I-Secure, I-Switch, and I-Shop feature sets bundled in — the closest MCB equivalent to competitors' premium travel/lifestyle cards.

MCB Classic / Gold Credit Card

Entry- and mid-tier MCB Visa credit cards for everyday spending, sitting below Platinum in the fee/benefit structure.

Card names confirmed directly from MCB's official Personal Cards menu on mcb.com.pk, which lists the MCB Visa Debit Card, MCB Visa Platinum Credit Card, and Classic/Gold Credit Card tiers alongside a dedicated Credit Card Portal.

Visa Signature Debit Card: Lounge Access

The MCB Visa Signature Debit Card's standout perk is airport lounge access — over 1,200 lounges worldwide through the Visa Companion App:

Lounge Access in Pakistan

A nominal fee of PKR 1 per visit applies for lounge access within Pakistan using the Signature Debit Card.

International Lounge Access

Requires a cumulative international transaction value of USD 5 on the card within the 90 days prior to the visit.

Annual Visit Cap

Up to 12 complimentary lounge visits per calendar year; visits beyond that limit, or outside the Visa lounge program, are charged directly via the Visa Companion App.

Lounge access terms confirmed directly from MCB's official MCB Visa Signature Debit Card product page on mcb.com.pk.

Visa Platinum Credit Card: Acceptance & Perks

MCB positions the Visa Platinum Credit Card as its flagship card, accepted at roughly 29 million locations across 150+ countries and 30,000+ establishments within Pakistan. Platinum cardholders earn 3x reward points on international hotel stays specifically, on top of standard points earned on retail and e-commerce spend.

A distinct feature is I Cash on Call — cardholders can call MCB's 24/7 Call Center (111-000-622) to request a pay order issued in their favour against available credit limit, then repay the minimum or full amount at their convenience, similar in structure to a cash advance but arranged by phone rather than at an ATM.

Acceptance figures, reward multiplier, and I Cash on Call details confirmed directly from MCB's official MCB Visa Platinum Credit Card product page on mcb.com.pk.

MCB Deals & Discounts, EMI Alliances

MCB Bank runs an active "Deals & Discounts" program and a separate EMI Alliances scheme — partner tie-ups letting eligible cardholders convert large purchases (electronics, appliances, mobile phones) into 0%-markup or reduced-markup installment plans. These offers rotate by merchant, season, and card tier, so a discount valid one month may not carry over to the next.

MCB also provides an MCB Compare Card tool on its official website, letting prospective cardholders compare fees and features across the Debit, Classic, Gold, and Platinum tiers side by side before applying.

Bookme.pk (Signature)40% off, capped at Rs. 800Visa Signature Debit Card onlyDec 31, 2026

The Daraz offers illustrate how MCB tiers its own card portfolio: the standard weekend deal (8%) is open to mid-tier cards, the 8.8 Azaadi Sale bumps standard cards to 14%, and the Signature Debit Card gets an exclusive 15% rate on the same campaign — one percentage point better, reflecting Signature's position as MCB's top debit tier. BELCO Chocolates and Bookme.pk follow the same logic more explicitly, running three separate discount tiers by card grade: standard Gold/Nayab cards get the lowest percentage and lowest cap, Platinum sits in the middle, and Signature gets the top rate on both merchants (40% at BELCO capped at Rs. 2,000 - the same cap as Platinum, just a higher percentage - and 40% at Bookme.pk capped lower at Rs. 800).

Bookme.pk's discount applies specifically to cinema and event tickets only — not general Bookme.pk purchases — capped per the tier above, with a shared limit of 5 discounted transactions per month per card across the app and web platform, valid all 7 days of the week nationwide.

Fine print that actually matters: the Daraz weekend deal requires a minimum order of Rs. 3,000, allows only one discounted transaction per card per weekend, caps the discount at Rs. 800, and limits cardholders to 5 discounted transactions a month. The 8.8 Azaadi Sale deals have a lower Rs. 500 minimum order but cap total transactions at 8 per card for the entire 7-day campaign. BELCO Chocolates and Bookme.pk both cap discounted transactions at 5 per cardholder per month. In every case, MCB cardholders must collect the specific merchant voucher before checkout — the discount is not automatic at payment.

All current deal terms, discount caps, and validity dates confirmed directly from MCB's official Privilege Deal & Discount page on mcb.com.pk, checked August 2026. These offers expire or rotate on their own schedule — always confirm the live list on MCB's site before relying on a specific percentage.
