Mashreq account opening is designed to happen entirely inside the Mashreq Pakistan mobile app — there is no branch visit involved. This page lists every account Mashreq currently offers, sourced from Mashreq's own NEO product pages.

Shari'ah-compliant current account that also pays profit — Mashreq describes this as a market-first structure for a current account in Pakistan.

Mashreq NEO Islamic Current Account

Standard Shari'ah-compliant current account with no profit component, for everyday transacting.

Mashreq NEO Islamic Savings Account

Shari'ah-compliant savings account with monthly profit payout options.

Mashreq NEO Savings Account

Mashreq Pakistan Account

Designed for non-resident Pakistanis and overseas Pakistanis to bank in Pakistan digitally.

Mashreq NEO BIZ Accounts

Which Mashreq Account Is Right for You?

Mashreq now offers six different account types across personal, business, and overseas banking — each with its own page on Mashreq's own site, but nowhere that compares them side by side. Answer a few quick questions and we'll point you to the one that fits.

What's this account for?

This selector is an independent PakFinHub tool based on eligibility and features as documented on Mashreq's official product pages — it's a starting point, not a substitute for reading the specific account's terms before opening it.

How Opening Works

Mashreq states that an individual account can be opened in about five minutes through the Mashreq Pakistan app using CNIC verification, with no minimum balance required to open or maintain any account. For business accounts through NEO BIZ, opening a sole-proprietor account can take up to 5 working days if additional verification is required, while self-employed individual accounts may take up to 2 working days.

One exception worth flagging: the Mashreq Pakistan Account for overseas Pakistanis is currently opened through the Mashreq UAE app, not the Mashreq Pakistan app — it's designed for Non-Resident Pakistanis who already hold a Mashreq UAE account, and is applied for from inside that UAE app rather than downloaded as a standalone Pakistan product. This is a real point of confusion for overseas Pakistanis searching for this account, so it's worth knowing before you go looking for it in the wrong app store listing.

What Comes With the Account

All fund transfers, bill payments, and credit card payments through the app are free of charge, and the bank advertises a daily transfer limit of up to PKR 10 million. ATM withdrawals across Pakistan are also free of charge, though the current official Schedule of Charges notes these are charged at the time of transaction and reversed within a week. Mashreq's Pakistan launch announcement described free debit cards, but the bank's current Schedules of Charges (conventional and Islamic alike) list a PKR 2,500 issuance/annual/replacement charge on both the Mastercard and PayPak debit card — confirm the fee in-app before applying.

How to Verify the Latest Information

Banking facts change — new fee schedules, updated rates, or a revised contact number can all go live between our reviews. Before relying on anything above for a real transaction, cross-check it against mashreq.com/en/pk/neo, the primary source this page draws from.
