Withdrawing from another bank's ATM using a Soneri debit card typically incurs an inter-bank ATM charge, in line with 1LINK network fees applied industry-wide across Pakistan. Confirm the current fee on Soneri's official Schedule of Charges, since inter-bank charges are periodically revised.

Which Cards Work at Soneri ATMs

Soneri Mastercard debit cards and Soneri PayPak debit cards both work at Soneri's own ATM network, and Mastercard-branded cards additionally work at any Mastercard-accepting ATM in Pakistan or abroad, subject to the bank's international usage settings. PayPak cards are generally limited to domestic ATMs and merchants, since PayPak is Pakistan's own domestic payment scheme rather than an internationally interoperable network like Mastercard or Visa.

Soneri Tahaffuz: Free Robbery Insurance on Your ATM Cash

This is genuinely uncommon among Pakistani banks and rarely mentioned anywhere it should be: every Soneri Debit Mastercard holder is automatically enrolled, free of charge, upon card activation — no separate sign-up, no fee, nothing to "ask your branch about." Soneri Tahaffuz covers the loss of cash you've just withdrawn from any ATM in Pakistan (Soneri's own network or any 1-Link/Mnet machine) if you're robbed in an armed hold-up or subjected to violent, forced deprivation of that money — but only within a 500-metre radius or 60 minutes of the withdrawal, whichever comes first. It covers only the account holder using their own card, not a third party. Soneri underwrites this as a corporate agent on behalf of Jubilee General Insurance and Pak-Qatar General Takaful, who — not Soneri directly — are responsible for settling claims.

This is separate from ATM fraud protection (skimming, unauthorized transactions) — Tahaffuz covers physical robbery of cash in hand shortly after withdrawal, not electronic fraud. To make a claim, contact Soneri's Call Center; if your card was also stolen in the same incident, report it immediately to have it blocked.
