Allied Bank Raast transfers are free of charge on every channel, whether sent by Raast ID (your registered mobile number) or IBAN, through the myABL app or over the counter at any branch. IBFT carries a small fee — 0.1% or Rs 200 per transaction, whichever is lower — on both the myABL app and ATMs, waived up to Rs 25,000 per month per account; it is not free by default on either channel.
Allied Bank customers have three main ways to send money to another bank in Pakistan — Raast, IBFT, and RTGS — plus 1LINK, the shared switch that connects Allied Bank's ATMs and cards to the rest of the country's banking network. They're often confused for each other because they all move money between banks, but the right one depends on the amount, the urgency, and the channel you're using.
Which Transfer Method Should I Use?
Enter the amount and how you're sending it — the cheapest correct option, and why, appears below instead of you guessing between three similarly-named rails.
Raast is free on every channel per SBP's rules and Allied Bank's Schedule of Charges. IBFT fee (0.1% or Rs 200/transaction, whichever lower, free up to Rs 25,000/month) and RTGS status per Allied Bank's official Schedule of Charges, effective Jul–Dec 2026 — RTGS is currently free only because SBP has temporarily suspended RTGS charges sitewide, which is subject to change without much notice.
Raast at Allied Bank
Raast is Pakistan's instant payment system, built and run by the State Bank of Pakistan — Allied Bank is one of the participating banks, not the operator. Funds sent via Raast are meant to land in the recipient's account within seconds, and SBP requires that Raast remain free for end customers at every participating bank, including ABL.
Raast ID
Link your registered mobile number to your Allied Bank account as your Raast ID through myABL, so people can send you money using your phone number instead of your account number or IBAN.
Raast via IBAN
Don't want to register a Raast ID? You can still send or receive instantly via Raast using the recipient's or your own IBAN.
Request to Pay (RTP)
A merchant or another user can send you a payment request; you review and approve it in myABL with your TPIN rather than typing in transfer details yourself.
QR Payments
myABL supports Raast person-to-person and person-to-merchant QR codes, along with Mastercard QR and Golootlo QR, for scan-to-pay transactions.
Account QR
Generate a QR code containing your account details so a sender can scan it instead of typing a long account number or IBAN.
Over-the-Counter Raast
Customers without mobile or internet banking can still use Raast at any Allied Bank branch by submitting a cheque for OTC processing — free of charge for local transfers.

Registering Your Raast ID in myABL
Open the myABL app, go to Services, and select RAAST Management to create, link, delink, or delete your Raast ID. Once linked, your mobile number works as a stand-in for your account number — anyone sending you money via Raast can use your phone number instead of asking for your IBAN. You can delink or change the linked account at any time from the same menu if you switch your primary account.
Raast vs IBFT vs RTGS vs 1LINK — What's the Difference
| Service | What It's For | Speed | Cost at Allied Bank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raast | Instant transfer to any bank, via Raast ID or IBAN | Seconds | Free on every channel |
| IBFT (Inter Bank Fund Transfer) | Transfer to 30+ other banks via account number or IBAN, routed through 1LINK | Usually near-instant | 0.1% or Rs 200/transaction (whichever lower) on both myABL app and ATM; free up to Rs 25,000/month |
| RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement) | Same-day, typically for larger transfers, settled directly through SBP's system | Same business day | Currently free — SBP has suspended RTGS charges (subject to change) |
| 1LINK | The shared switch/network Allied Bank's ATMs and cards use to connect with other banks — not a transfer method you choose directly | — | Underlies ATM and some IBFT transactions; see the ATM Card Charges page for 1LINK-related ATM fees |

IBFT Fees by Channel
This is the part that trips people up: IBFT is not free by default on either the app or an ATM at Allied Bank — the same fee structure applies to both, and only Roshan Digital Account customers and Raast transfers are unconditionally free.
| Channel | IBFT Fee |
|---|---|
| myABL App / Internet Banking | 0.1% or Rs 200 per transaction, whichever is lower — free up to Rs 25,000/month/account |
| ATM | 0.1% or Rs 200 per transaction, whichever is lower — free up to Rs 25,000/month/account |
| Roshan Digital Account (any channel) | Free |

Transfer Limits
The State Bank of Pakistan removed its own cap on Raast transaction sizes in April 2022, but it requires every bank to allow at least Rs 200,000 per Raast transaction — banks can set a higher limit based on a customer's risk profile, but not lower than that floor (except for specific account types where SBP has separately prescribed a lower limit). Allied Bank's actual per-transaction and daily Raast/IBFT limits for your account are shown in the myABL app under transfer settings and can vary by account type; check there or with the bank directly for your exact limit rather than assuming a fixed number, since this isn't published as a single flat figure for all customers.
If a Transfer Fails, Doesn't Reflect, or Reverses
Check the Status First
Raast credits are meant to post within seconds; occasional platform-wide delays happen, so wait a few minutes and check your statement or the recipient's before assuming it failed.
Debited but Not Delivered
If money left your account but never reached the recipient, it should auto-reverse back to you, typically within 1-2 business days.
Still Unresolved
If the amount hasn't reversed or the recipient still hasn't received it after a couple of business days, contact the Allied Bank helpline with your transaction reference number — see the Helpline & Complaints page for numbers and escalation steps.
Allied Bank has not published a separate, dedicated policy page for failed or reversed Raast/IBFT transactions at the time of writing — the guidance above reflects how instant-payment reversals generally work under SBP's Raast rules. For a transaction-specific issue, the helpline or your nearest branch, with the reference number ready, is the fastest route to a resolution.
Good For
- Understanding why Raast is free but ATM-based IBFT sometimes isn't
- Setting up your Raast ID for the first time in myABL
- Knowing which transfer method fits a large, same-day payment (RTGS) versus an instant one (Raast)
- Knowing who to contact if a transfer doesn't show up
