Allied Bank cheque books cost Rs 33 flat per leaf for Current Accounts and Rs 43 flat per leaf for PLS Savings Accounts, with a Rs 300 flat dispatch fee if you want it mailed rather than collected. Stop payment on a single cheque costs Rs 800 for Current or Rs 1,200 for Savings. Pay orders and demand drafts are cheapest when issued by debit to your account rather than against cash.

These are everyday, over-the-counter instrument services that don't fit neatly under Accounts, Cards, or ATM — but they come up constantly for anyone managing a business account, paying rent by cheque, or needing a guaranteed instrument for a large payment. All figures below are from Allied Bank's official Schedule of Charges, effective 1 July to 31 December 2026, and apply to conventional accounts unless stated otherwise.

Business Account holders get the first 10-leaf cheque book and all pay order/DD/CDR services free — selecting "Allied Business Account" reflects this where applicable.

Stop Payment Instructions

Account TypeCharge Per Cheque
Current AccountRs 800
Savings AccountRs 1,200
Foreign Currency AccountUSD 5, or equivalent

Stop payment can be requested at any branch or, for many account types, through myABL — the same fee applies regardless of channel, and it's charged per cheque, not per instruction covering multiple cheques. This is a separate charge from the general "Standing Instructions" fee (Rs 300 Current / Rs 500 Savings per transaction), which covers recurring instructions like automated transfers rather than stopping a single cheque.
