Meezan Bank Wins "Best Bank" for the 6th Time at Pakistan Banking Awards
At the 11th Pakistan Banking Awards ceremony in Karachi, Meezan Bank was named Pakistan's Best Bank for the sixth time overall (fourth consecutive year) and also won Best Bank for Customer Engagement. The awards are jointly organised by the National Institute of Banking and Finance Pakistan, A.F. Ferguson & Co, and Dawn Media Group.

Meezan Opens First Round-the-Clock Service Center in Karachi
Meezan Bank inaugurated its first Service Center at Clifton Bridge, Karachi — combining round-the-clock digital banking with in-person support. The bank describes it as the only banking facility in the industry offering Virtual Teller assistance 24/7 through its Cheque and Cash Deposit Machines, extending access beyond standard branch hours.

Two New Shariah-Compliant Cards Planned for 2027 — Meezan Charge Card & Islamic Financing Card
During its 2Q 2026 corporate briefing, Meezan Bank's management disclosed plans for two new Shariah-compliant card products: the Meezan Charge Card (currently in soft launch) and the Meezan Islamic Financing Card (still in development), both with Shariah approval already secured. Commercial rollout is expected in 2027. Management also outlined plans to expand from 1,150 branches (June 2026) to 1,250 by year-end, and detailed a "phygital" strategy pairing branch expansion with digital banking. GHTA Housing Finance Crosses Rs 31.45bn Approved, Rs 4bn Disbursed — 4,424 Applications, 650 Families

LUMS Partnership — Islamic Finance Certification Programs
Meezan Bank signed an MoU with the Centre for Islamic Finance (CIF) at LUMS to expand access to Islamic finance education. The first initiative is a public online certification course, "Learning from Leaders of Islamic Finance," hosted on LUMS's LUMSx platform. A related, separately reported strand of the partnership covers a large-scale internal certification program for Meezan's own workforce, delivered jointly by CIF and LUMSx.
