Meezan Bank Easy Home Financing Guide

Easy Home is Meezan Bank's flagship house financing product, built on Diminishing Musharakah — the bank co-owns the property with you and you gradually buy out its share while paying rent on the portion it still owns, rather than paying interest on a loan. It's the standard home-financing model across Islamic banks in Pakistan.

Easy Home is Meezan's flagship house financing product, and it works on a completely different mechanism than a conventional mortgage. Rather than lending you money at interest, the bank becomes your actual co-owner in the property — you and Meezan buy the house together, and you gradually buy out the bank's share over the financing term while paying rent on whatever portion the bank still owns.

This structure — Diminishing Musharakah — is the standard model across Islamic banks in Pakistan for home financing. It's worth understanding the mechanics before comparing rates, since the way profit is calculated (rent on a shrinking ownership share) behaves differently from interest amortization on a fixed loan balance.

How Easy Home Works

The core idea: Easy Home uses Diminishing Musharakah — a co-ownership structure. You and Meezan jointly buy the property; you pay rent on the bank's share plus gradually buy out that share over time. Your ownership percentage grows with every payment until you own the property outright.

Home financing via Diminishing Musharakah — you and the bank jointly own the property; your ownership share grows with each payment until you own it outright. Marketed as Pakistan's first Shariah-compliant house finance scheme.
