Dubai Islamic Bank Personal Loan
Part of PakFinHub's DIB coverage — DIB Personal Finance structure and a free calculator.
- Musawamah Structure
- First in Pakistan
People searching "Dubai Islamic Bank personal loan calculator" are looking for what DIB calls Personal Finance — a Shari'a-compliant facility structured on the Islamic finance concept of Musawamah, not a conventional interest-bearing personal loan. DIB states it was the first Islamic bank in Pakistan to offer this facility. Below: how it's structured, plus a calculator to estimate your own instalment.
How Musawamah Personal Finance Works
Under Musawamah — a negotiated-price sale contract distinct from Murabaha — DIB purchases specified goods (commodities such as cotton or meat, identified and disclosed by a broker with location and warehouse details) from a supplier on a spot-payment basis, taking title and possession. It then sells those goods to the customer on a deferred-payment basis at an agreed price. The customer's obligation is to pay DIB back over the agreed tenure — this deferred-sale profit is what replaces interest in a conventional loan.
Musawamah structure and mechanics confirmed verbatim from DIBPL's official Personal Finance product page (dibpak.com/index.php/personal-finance/).
What DIB Personal Finance Can Be Used For
- Education expenses
- Marriage expenses
- Medical expenses
- Settling existing credit card balances
- Settling other conventional loans
- Other emergency personal needs, in a Shari'a-compliant structure
Instalment Calculator
Estimate your monthly instalment. This is an illustrative reducing-balance calculation for your own planning — it is not a financing offer, and DIB's actual approved profit rate depends on your risk profile and Credit Committee approval; confirm the exact rate with DIB before applying.
This calculator uses a standard reducing-balance amortization formula as an estimation tool only. DIB's actual Musawamah-based deferred sale price is fixed at contract signing per Islamic finance principles and may not move exactly like a conventional amortization schedule — always confirm the exact figure in your financing agreement.
Processing Charges
DIB Personal Finance splits into an unsecured facility with a flat processing charge, and a secured facility (against collateral such as a vehicle) with a processing fee that scales with the financing amount.
| Facility | Processing Charge |
|---|---|
| Unsecured Personal Finance | Rs 6,000 + FED |
| Secured Personal Finance — up to Rs 500,000 | Rs 5,000 |
| Secured Personal Finance — Rs 500,001–1,000,000 | Rs 7,500 |
| Secured Personal Finance — Rs 1,000,001–1,500,000 | Rs 10,000 |
| Secured Personal Finance — Rs 1,500,001–2,000,000 | Rs 15,000 |
| Secured Personal Finance — above Rs 2,000,000 | Rs 20,000 |
Secured Personal Finance processing fee is inclusive of stamp duty. Late payment on secured facilities is upto 20% of the monthly rent overdue; cheque return charges are upto Rs 1,000. Source: DIB Schedule of Charges, July–December 2026.
