  • No Remittance Charges

Quick answer: Bank Alfalah's Roshan Digital Account (RDA) lets Non-Resident Pakistanis and POC holders open a Pakistani PKR or foreign-currency account fully online, without visiting a branch. Use the calculator below to estimate your Naya Pakistan Certificate return by currency, amount, and tenor.

Bank Alfalah Roshan Digital Account (RDA) is one of the participating products in Pakistan's Roshan Digital Account initiative — a State Bank of Pakistan program, launched in September 2020, that lets Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) and Pakistan Origin Card (POC) holders open and operate a Pakistani bank account fully online, from anywhere in the world, without visiting a branch, embassy, or consulate.

This page pulls together everything RDA-specific for Bank Alfalah in one place: the account types, the financing products layered on top, and the investment options available once your account is open. Further down is a calculator that does something no bank's own RDA page or aggregator site currently does: actually work out what a Naya Pakistan Certificate pays out, after the 10% withholding tax.

Naya Pakistan Certificate Return Calculator

Every bank's RDA page and every RDA aggregator site shows the same static rate table. None of them actually calculate what you'll receive. This does — currency, tenor, and the flat 10% withholding tax, all worked out for your specific investment.

Your Investment

Held through your Bank Alfalah RDA PKR or FCY account, matching the certificate's currency.
Please enter a valid amount at or above the minimum for this currency.
Minimum for PKR-denominated certificates: PKR 10,000, in multiples of PKR 1,000.
3, 6, and 12-month certificates are zero-coupon — principal and profit are paid together at maturity. 3-year and 5-year certificates pay profit semi-annually instead.

Rate Data & Sources

Naya Pakistan Certificate profit rates by currency and tenor are sourced from the State Bank of Pakistan's official NPC documentation and cross-checked against participating banks' published rate sheets, effective from issuances on or after 1 June 2026 (USD/GBP/EUR rates effective 27 March 2026). Rates are set by the Government of Pakistan / SBP and apply uniformly across all RDA-participating banks, including Bank Alfalah — they are not bank-specific.

The 10% withholding tax is flat and final on NPC profit, per SBP's NPC framework, with no distinction between filers and non-filers. This calculator assumes the certificate is held to full maturity — early encashment (allowed after the first month) is remunerated differently, generally at the rate of the nearest completed shorter tenor, and is not modelled here. For 3-year and 5-year certificates, profit is paid semi-annually rather than at maturity; the total shown is the sum of all after-tax payments plus principal returned at the end.

Last verified: September 7, 2026. NPC rates are revised periodically by SBP — always confirm the current rate sheet in the Alfa app or with Bank Alfalah before investing.

Independent estimate — not an official Bank Alfalah or SBP calculator, and not investment advice. For a confirmed, current rate, check the Alfa app or Bank Alfalah's official Naya Pakistan Certificates page. PakFinHub is not affiliated with Bank Alfalah.

Who Can Open an RDA — Eligibility Basics

Eligible applicants include Non-Resident Pakistanis, Pakistan Origin Card (POC) holders, and — under SBP's broader RDA framework — non-resident foreign nationals and eligible entities. Resident Pakistanis can only open a Foreign Currency RDA through a branch, and only if they've declared assets held abroad in their latest wealth statement filed with the FBR. Eligible applicant categories include the employed, self-employed, unemployed, housewives/homemakers, students, children, and pensioners, per the State Bank of Pakistan's own RDA eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria per the State Bank of Pakistan's official RDA program page (sbp.org.pk/rda) and Bank Alfalah's Islamic RDA FAQ.

Processing times vary by case complexity and document completeness — submitting clear, complete scans upfront is the single biggest factor in a fast turnaround.

Documents You'll Need

Typical requirements include a scanned CNIC/NICOP/SNIC/POC and passport (with entry/exit stamp pages for NRPs), proof of Non-Resident status (residence permit, valid Iqama, valid visa, or another nationality's passport), and proof of profession/source of income or funds (salary slip, salary certificate, tax return, rental agreement, or an income letter for the self-employed).

One more practical note: keep copies of everything you submit, since follow-up queries from the compliance team are common for first-time international applicants and having your documents on hand speeds up any clarification request.
