DIB SMS Banking & Transaction Alerts
Part of PakFinHub's DIB coverage — text-command banking for customers without a smartphone or app.
- SMS to 2342
- No App Needed
Before app-based banking, DIB customers could already bank by text message — and the service still exists. Useful if you want basic banking on a phone with no data connection.
How SMS Banking Works
Type the relevant command under "New Message" on your registered phone and send it to 2342. DIB's SMS Banking supports:
- Cheque book requests — choose 25, 50, or 100 leaves
- Internal Funds Transfer — within your own account portfolio and currency
- Third Party Funds Transfer — to any other DIBPL customer's account
- Configurable SMS alerts tied to your accounts

Transaction Alert Charges
| Account Type | Charge |
|---|---|
| Consumer Asset Accounts (Auto/Home) | Up to Rs 100/month |
| Consumer Retail Accounts (Individual) – monthly | Rs 200/month |
| Consumer Retail Accounts (Individual) – yearly | Rs 2,100/year |
| Company Accounts | Up to Rs 600/month |
SMS alerts on all ADC (Alternate Delivery Channel) products — things like ATM and card transaction notifications — are free of charge, separate from the account-tier fees above.

Security Basics
DIB's own SMS Banking terms flag three habits worth actually following: report the theft or loss of your registered phone immediately at 111-786-342, delete SMS banking messages after reading them rather than leaving transaction details sitting in your inbox, and change your SMS banking PIN periodically rather than leaving it set once and forgetting about it.
