First Women Bank Account Opening
A complete guide to every FWBL deposit account: minimum balance, eligibility, and who each one is actually built for.
- Open from PKR 100
- Branch or online
Not to be confused with: First Women's Bank, an unrelated fintech based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. This page covers First Women Bank Limited (FWBL), the Pakistani commercial bank headquartered in Karachi.
First women bank account opening is straightforward on paper — walk into any branch with your original CNIC, proof of income if required, and an initial deposit — but the right account depends heavily on what you actually need: a low-minimum savings account, a business current account, or a foreign-currency account. This guide breaks down FWBL's real deposit lineup rather than repeating a single generic "how to open an account" script.

What Documents Do You Need to Open an FWBL Account?
Every FWBL account opening starts with a valid, original identity document. Per FWBL's official account opening form, an applicant can use any one of: a CNIC issued by NADRA, a NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis), a POC (Pakistan Origin Card), an Alien Registration Card issued by NADRA on behalf of the Ministry of Interior (for local-currency accounts only), or — for foreign nationals opening an individual account — a passport carrying a valid visa or other proof of legal stay. Where the source of funds comes through a dependent — a common scenario for the PEARL account, which is aimed at housewives and other women without independent income — the bank asks the applicant to declare that dependent's source of income on the account opening form. Business and SME accounts carry additional documentation (registration certificate, sales tax registration or NTN where applicable, and proof of trade-body membership where relevant) depending on the entity type.
FWBL Zindagi Aasan Account — What's Different
The Zindagi Aasan Account is FWBL's fastest account to open: per FWBL's own product page, it's a single instrument that functions as either a current or savings account, opens with nothing more than a valid CNIC (no separate proof of income), and starts with a minimum deposit of just PKR 100. It carries a transaction limit of PKR 1,000,000 per month, and international transactions are permitted through the debit card only up to that same monthly limit. It's available as a single account or a joint account with a maximum of one joint holder, to resident Pakistani individuals only — a foreign national or non-resident would need FWBL's regular account instead. Each customer's CNIC number is treated as the unique identifier for this product, so you cannot open more than one Zindagi Aasan Account against the same CNIC. Applications are handled in-branch rather than online.
